Re: Neue Testversion 22.90b9
I am unsure if this is unwanted behaviour - there are situations where this is actually wanted behaviour for text frames. I certainly have used this before.
If you group the text frame first, it will copy over without a change.

Re: Neue Testversion 22.90b9
I guess that resized text frame is not a biggest current problem. It was totally pure tech report that may help to match text copy/paste behave in different situations. As i noticed, similar problem was fixed earlier (If Document size is smaller than Text Layer size, it changes Text Layer borders when i copy/paste it within same Document).
If possible it is always nice to see more user selected options in global program settings. Especially for text tool, that different people prefer to use in totally different ways (for DTP and books creation or for basic design and illustration work).

Re: Neue Testversion 22.90b9
Hi,
when I click on a vector object with the mesh gradient, a new mesh gradient object is created based on the vector object.
With simple objects like a square or circle this is very good, but with a bit more complex objects the shape is changed and a great number of points is created. Right the resulting mesh gradient object
This is not very practical. Can this be optimized?

Re: Neue Testversion 22.90b9
By the way, it is not problem only with Text Layers. In Document Mode any raster or vector layer that i copy from larger sized document to smaller sized document always resize to smaller document size.
In Image Mode seems problem only with Text Layer resizing.
Layer size definitely should be unchanged or it could be some global option for this:
Keep original layer size during copy/paste.
Fit to document size during copy/paste.

Re: Neue Testversion 22.90b9
If the document size (not window size) is smaller then pasted layer size, the layer size will be adjusted.
PhotoLine does this correction with other layer types, too. If a pasted layer is outside the page bounds, PhotoLine will first try to move the layer. If that isn't sufficient, it will also change its size. This is done to avoid the problem of an pasted layer being outside the document and the user not being able to find it.
It doesn't do that when copying within a document.

No problem in 22.90b10. Must be it was fixed somehowMartin Huber wrote: ↑Mon 14 Jun 2021 11:13I'm a bit late, but I can't reproduce that. Is there something special to consider?

Re: Neue Testversion 22.90b9
To be honest it is not a huge problem, because the situations like these are not too common. But when layer suddenly resizes like this it became a problem to bring it back to original size and transform in better way.Martin Huber wrote: ↑Mon 14 Jun 2021 11:24If the document size (not window size) is smaller then pasted layer size, the layer size will be adjusted.

But same time, as Herbert123 noticed, in some other workflows that auto resize may be useful.
I really prefer user option for this if possible. Some checkmark in preferences that indicate how to deal with copy/paste from larger document to smaller.
But if this thing is too complicated to code, i think it is better to waste time to other more important bugfixes.

Not really. Mesh gradient are basically quadrilaterals, so shapes with many more edges can only be insufficiently mapped.Paul wrote: ↑Thu 20 May 2021 09:38 when I click on a vector object with the mesh gradient, a new mesh gradient object is created based on the vector object.

Well, with simpler objects it works great!Martin Huber wrote: ↑Mon 14 Jun 2021 15:28Not really.
