es gibt wieder eine neue Testversion 23.90b3.

Neues:

• Dokumentfenster, Windows: Zeichnet PhotoLine jetzt selbst und nicht mehr im Windowsdesign
• Ansicht > Ebenenanfasser anzeigen: Hat nun auch Einfluss auf "Vektorpunkte bearbeiten", Verlaufsgitter und Verzerren-Werkzeug
• Verschiebehand-Werkzeug: Die Synchronisation mehrerer Fenster funktioniert nun auch bei Doppelklick (100%-Zoom und zurück)
• TIFF-Export: Leere Ebenennamen werden nicht mehr zu "Layer", Hintergrundebene mit Dateiname wird ohne Namen gespeichert
• Diverse Fehlerbehebungen und kleinere Verbesserungen

Seems to mostly work in Wine.
Edited: when switching to floating windows, only the one that was clicked has restore/maximize/minimize buttons; the others are floating windows, but have no buttons and cannot be moved.

Rejoice! Finally that ugly looking classic Windows-style chrome is replaced!

Is this correct? I am unable to reposition or scale these. The file name is invisible as well. And choosing "Tile Vertical" or any of the other window options doesn't seem to do anything at all.

The standard lighting with the distort tool is fixed. Thank you!

Some other problems fixed in 23.9b3:

• due 0x011d metadata field TIFF file name not used as layer name (problem fix: TIFF export: Empty layer names no longer become "Layer", background layer with file name is saved without name)
• Effect Filters -> Lightning -> Width. if use scroll wheel slider moves only backwards
• Color Picker samples change position after Crop.
• Set/Correct Color Temperature placed in different orderer in full sized and mini panel
• Projection Effect. If move Range slider by mouse, it use random decimal numbers steps instead of 1 2 3 4 5... steps.
• Projection Effect Body tab. Part of moved rectangle use strange invert effect. This makes things complicated to understand.
• Request/Idea: Apply "Move/Zoom synchronously" setting when double-click image to zoom 100% and back.
• Program crash with some unusual xyz_clut input ICC profile types. Probably new bug in LittleCMS.

It is also interesting to see that in Windows version icons aliasing was changed. They seems like look crisper, but because they use 16x16 size instead of original 17x17 some elements are still shifted in some fancy way. Still doesn't fit to normal 15,17,19 grid. Sort of compromise: anti aliased but blurry vs aliased but crisp
New design of Window frame border on Windows looks nice, but as Herbert123 noticed - it is buggy yet when use "arrange windows".

Couple more observations regarding the new document window system.

I've discovered that when I use the Restore Down button the windows function properly and display the document title, etc.

But the window ordering doesn't work (yet?).

Since you are working on the window system, might I make a suggestion:

A quick accessible menu to control window layout options would be excellent to have. I'd also imagine additional layouts like quad, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, etcetera. That would be very useful.

There is none in Image Mode. It is still there in Document mode.

I don't know whether it is really needed. At least on Windows, it shouldn't be needed in Image Mode.

There is none in Image Mode. It is still there in Document mode.

I don't know whether it is really needed. At least on Windows, it shouldn't be needed in Image Mode.

Status bar is very useful in any situation because it shows extended tool description as well as all available tool hotkeys. It is rather complex to remember each possible hotkey for each tool, so always rely on that text tip status bar line. So i guess removing status bar in Image Mode was a bad idea. On Windows (if i ever theoretically may use Windows version) i personally prefer to hide global status bar and use window status bar to see info (same UI logic as on macOS)
Status Bar also shows Zoom level and it is easier to see zoom there than in upper window bar, especially when file name is too long and all top window bar is filled with file name.
Guess in Image Mode it is more logical to hide Pages area in status bar to make the look a little bit cleaner. But don't hide all status bar permanently.
Or just make it a user option, so those who want to see status bar, could turn it on in Preferences.

Are there any other opinions on this subject? I never used the status bar in image mode here.

Just the magnification %, which I see is on the application title bar now; I frequently select a % by typing it into the bar on the bottom.

You can see the current zoom level in the title bar of the window - but you can't change it here. So if you use this, it should be there

+ I agree with Russell about the zoom.

+ It is a bit odd that the image mode behaves different than the document mode

+ If you have an image open in a window at the same time as a document in an other window, when you hover on top of the image, the status bar of the document shows the help text of the image ... odd

+ I prefer to see image zoom and help in the context of the image in process : in the bottom bar of the image. My preference.
