I am COMPLETELY new to image editing, so please forgive my ignorance. I believe my needs are pretty basic, so before I buy PL32, just a question or two, if I may;
All I really want to be able to do is edit the images in the following ways;
take a model (person) and change the background color or image in the shot.
OR
Get rid of unwanted elements in the shot and leave the model in tact.
OR/AND
Crop model out of the shot entirely and "drop" her into a new blank document. Then manipulate the background in the new resulting image.
I have used the lasso and the stamp for some of the above. The problems arise in blending the resulting color with the original background, once I erase something.
I don't mean to take up a lot of your time here. I am sure this is in the manual provided with PL 32, I just have no idea as to where to look in the topics.
Hair whisps (on the model) seem to pose a substantial challenge.
Being new to all of this, I find the application very user friendly.
I am just clueless!
A real example I am working on would be;
girl in a picture, full body shot.
Right now, there is a plain grey background
There is a fan in the image, which was used to blow the model's hair back.
The fan is NOT right on the model's image, it is to the left, away from her, but it is in the shot.
I need to get rid of it.
That is the basic challenge in all of the photos I am attempting to edit...removal of unwanted items, but leaving the background in tact as in the rest of the image, once the item has been removed.
Stamp tool? Mask tool? I have no idea! javascript:emoticon(':(')
Thank you so much.
Please forgive my ignorance!
Marco
About to buy, but am a newbie, basic question please
