OnOne's plug-ins, specifically Portrait 2

Has anyone tried this plug-in with PhotoLine? I want to know if it is compatible (of course it is, but you never know!) and how useful it is.

My problem right now is I am on a skinny and expensive wireless dongle so downloading a trial will take forever and cost unreasonably.

Tried another Onone's plugin some time before. The plugins of this company requiered all a true installation of PS! They didnt accept PL as host appilcation. But didnt try the actual version!

I just had a free version of Focal Point 1 from OnOne and it didn't work at all with PhotoLine. Even in my old PS Elements it appeared on a very strange place in the menue, where no other plugin ever could be found. But there was a standalone version as well.

Maybe that's the reason for their name. Only usable OnOne programm: PS

The Plug-Ins from OnOne won't work with PL.
I have installed the complete suite 7.5.1 but PL can't see them.

For at least the last couple of versions the onOne plugins have been designed for Photoshop's automated plugin feature, not as standard 8bf filters. Thus, they would work in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements only. In Elements they appear under Automation Tools, found in the File menus. It's the same for the NIK filters, although a few of those will work in PhotoLine.

The latest of all the onOne plugins are now wrapped in a suite called Perfect Photo Suite 7. It's available for Lightroom also, and that version includes a standalone manager for using each of the filters. (I don't know if the new Photoshop/Elements version also includes the standalone.)

The bottom line is if you need one or more of the onOne plugins effects for an image you're editing in PhotoLine, you'll need one of the external editors to do the work and then bring the image back into PhotoLine.

Maybe we'll get the capability to run these filters in PL in a future version. Hint, hint...

Or perhaps these companies will see the error of their ways and begin issuing the filters in 8bf versions, also.

Thanks for the replies. I won’t be bothering with OnOne, then. Would have been nice, though, in some ways. I'll work towards something in PL + Topaz Adjust.
