Win7 x64 SP1
PL 19.01 x64
I'm not sure if this is a problem report or a feature request, but the Color List does not load an Adobe Swatch Exchange (.ASE) file.
In Illustrator CS5, I added the TruMatch color swatches to the swatch palette and used the palette's "Save for Exchange..." to save the palette as an ASE file.
In PL 19.01's Color List, on the "Colors" tab, I tried to Load that ASE file, but nothing happens.
I can successfully load the ASE file into InDesign CS2.
It would be great if PL could load ASE files -- that would save me the trouble of trying to find a utility to convert ASE files into ACO files.
Here's that ASE file:

I found a link to the ASE specification:

Re: Prob: Unable to load Adobe Swatch Exchange file
there is no import for this kind of color palette.
I will see if I can add it.

Re: Prob: Unable to load Adobe Swatch Exchange file
Thanks!
The Help file says that "Many different file formats are supported, even those of other software." Can you tell us which formats can be imported?

Ken, I have attached an ACO version if you still need TruMatch.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for that ACO. How did you generate it?

Hi Ken,
Came straight out of my Photoshop 2014's folder. But I do have some tools for converting swatches--but why reinvent the wheel!
Take care, Mike
