Hello guys,
I've been using the Diatort with Arrows tool a lot for my current project. I have 3 suggestions to make the tool more useful.
1) When you apply the Zoom within the tool (to place your arrows with greater accuracy), it only zooms the "before" image on the left. It should really zoom the "after" image on the right as well.
2) Add a Preview button, so we can see how the distorted layer looks in the whole document without exiting the tool.
3) After the Distort with Layer operation is applied, the tool seems to add a very annoying white border around the edge of the layer. This appears on the edge of the layer opposite the direction of your arrows- as if Photoline is missing content so just adds white. So I crop it away to clean it up every time. Please, please keep the edge transparent.
Despite many years as a user, I still only understand 20% of what Photoline can do. So if any of these 3 features are already implemented, please let me know!
Thanks.

Hi Maho,
never used this tool. Very nice results.
You are right with your (white edges) arguments. Appears only with the steps (layers).

How about using the distort tool instead?
It should be able to replace "Distort with Arrows" and is more convenient.Du hast keine ausreichende Berechtigung, um die Dateianhänge dieses Beitrags anzusehen.

Re: Distort with Arrows - 3 suggestions
Convenient?
No steps/layers..., sure manually.
Not that precise as the arrow one.
Every step editable (if necessary)
But as I said... I've never used it.
@Gerhard:
Maho listed 3 suggestions... No comment on these?
BTW:
Once in a while I use this liquify tool.
i.e. as smartphone background.

Re: Distort with Arrows - 3 suggestions
Thanks for the suggestion. I just "discovered" the Distort tool 3 months ago. I find it very useful for making large scale changes to a layer. But for doing detailed work on small parts of a layer, Distort with Arrows offers much more control.Gerhard Huber hat geschrieben: ↑Di 30 Jan 2018 10:58 How about using the distort tool instead?

To go back to my 3 suggestions, I would say number (3) is most important. Not only does removing the white boundary take extra time, but I forget to do it about 10% of the time, which can create problems hard to fix later on in the workflow. I really think the default boundary should be transparent when using Distort with Arrows- nothing else makes sense.
Thanks again to the PL team for making such a great product...

Re: Distort with Arrows - 3 suggestions
Hi Maho,
Tip:
You could place on the very top layer a frame in the color you like.
So you can easily cover the white parts.
