Sollte wohl b6 heißen? Der Link zur OS X-Version fehlt auch

http://www.pl32.com/beta/pl1940b6.zip und
http://www.pl32.com/beta/plx1940b6.zip funktionieren aber.

Bug described here: http://www.pl32.com/forum3/viewtopic.ph ... 882#p36165

Fixed in this version! Excellent. Also works with sending the layers to external apps now. A huge thank you.

And the bevel (emboss) layer effect looks quite splendid - I have not seen any artifacts so far. With text outlines there still are some shading issues here and there, though - but no show stoppers, as far as I am concerned. Great job!

Btw, if I may ask: what improvements were made specifically to the PSD import in the last two versions?

- PhotoLine can load artboard PSDs. Not on pages, but one beside the other and there is a white image over all on my only sample picture, but better then nothing :-)
- PhotoLine has first smart object support. This loads embeded images.

Should I be seeing any difference because of the "Revised plugin interface"? There are still only 4 fields for plugin directories....
Ken
Yes, I think it can be eeeeeasily done....

4 field is 4 times of Photoshop, we don't plan to change this.

That is huge - that would make Photoline the first app with artboard support, I believe.

As for the smart object support: I just tested it, and Photoline uses placeholder layers - in the layer properties is states the content is "embedded". Does that mean we can now embed files? Anyway, the addition of smart object support is outstanding - really great news.

On a side note, while the PSD import is really very good, the export of PSD files seems primitive compared. Do you have plans to bring the PSD export up to the same level as well? It would mean far less trouble integrating Photoline in pipelines.

Yes, either on creation by setting the "Embed" switch in the Tool Settings of the placeholder tool, or by using "Layout > Placeholder > Embed" (but in the beta this command doesn't update the Layer Attributes entry, so you will have to select another layer and switch back to see the effect).

There are is so much undocumented content inside an PSD. While we can ignore that on reading, on writing this is a major problem.

Excellent development in regards to the embed option. And making it possible to keep the smart objects 'live'. I hope support for vector shapes will also be forthcoming at some point.

I understand the difficulties regarding PSD output: I am fairly certain Adobe likes it that way.

In regards to placeholder layers: is a simple option available to edit the placeholder layer contents (either external or embedded) in a external editor of my own choice? When I send an embedded SVG layer to InkScape, and edit, the layer in question is converted to regular layers. It would be great to have an option "edit in external application" in the right-mouse menu which sends the content to the external application, and after saving the changes, keeps it unchanged as either an external or embedded placeholder layer, and updates the content accordingly.
