I have no problems with the horizontal width -- if your buttons are being cut off on the right, you need to increase the width of the docking area.
The new options for fill, line colour and line style will require the height of the tool settings panel to be increased (programatically) for these tools:
Free style stars.
Flowers.

That is the issue: I never dock either the tools or tool settings panels. The tools panel is flexible in width and height, but the tool settings panel is not.

Now I see what you mean...interesting -- the settings panel changes its width to adapt to the width of the docking area, but not when used as an independent window.
I keep tellin' ya -- you've got to adopt the "Ken minimalist" layout style.

One thing I really miss during vector editing is the option to be able to scale, transform, and rotate a group of selected vector points. This is possible in InkScape, Photoshop, etc., and is extremely handy in many situations:

Also, SVG supports animation. It would be great if Photoline could open these files, and (just like gif animations) open each frame as a layer. And saving of an animated SVG ought to be similarly supported, just like animated gifs. https://www.blender.org/manual/_images/ ... g_cube.svg
Using the W3C Validation service reveals that Inkscape-created image has 86 errors and 3 warnings:

It's unrealistic and very counter-productive to keep requesting that PL support SVG images created by Inkscape, since Inkscape is forced to use non-standard markup in order to provide some semblance of vector drawing capability.

No.
Enough, already, with constantly asking for more and more "support" for the little-used SVG format. Even Inkscape has been forced to acknowlege reality by implementing opening and saving PDF files.
PL can open and save standard SVG images, and that's enough.

Correct, I failed to check that file whether it validates or not: after importing in InkScape, and re-saving as a "plain" svg, it imports fine into Photoline (this re-builds the SVG file, and it validates). This is an issue with Freestyle, not with Photoline. I will file a bug with their devs. Apologies!
As for SVG being "little used" - it is used A LOT on the web and for mobile design nowadays - good SVG import and export is essential for anyone working in those areas! Flash for web vector graphics is just no longer an option, and SVG is experiencing a renaissance of sorts. Besides, it is an open format, and is used to exchange data between applications as well (that is how I often share vector graphics between several applications).
The animation support would be nice to have, and since GIF animation is supported, I thought I'd ask. It would be great to have in the future, though.
