http://www.pl32.com/beta/plx1940b13.zip

Neues:

I think someone may feel ecstatic about this

Great to have both workflow options. This will also help users transitioning from different software.

And a big thank you for changing the label, pixel alignment, and anti-alias options in the layer properties to work with multiple selected layers. I hope and humbly request that the other layer properties will also be amended to work like that. Guides still only works with one layer, for example.
And it would be truly useful to be able to individually scale, rotate, and skew all selected objects in one go.

Yes, here on Win7 x64 even just dragging and dropping an image from Windows Explorer onto a PL window that has an open image corrupts the existing open image.

This is close to being a show stopper, preventing me from thoroughly testing PL 19.40b13.... :(

Problem solved -- Thanks!

The problem of a PLD file being marked as "changed" when cancelling an adjustment layer

has been fixed.

Thanks for implementing layer navigation via the keyboard.

Testing the new keyboard navigation features reveals that the theory works very nicely in practice. :D Using the left and right arrows to collapse and expand, respectively, layer groups is especially nice.

However, this implementation raises some questions for me:
  1. Where is that settings entry? I can't find it....
  2. Why is the "Esc" key used to switch the focus to the editing window? Using the ",/<" and "./>" keys would allow one-handed operation, since those keys are close to the arrow keys.
  3. Currently, the "Esc" key is duplicating the function of the "Enter" key to switch the focus to the Editing window. Is this because the "Enter" key will, in the future, be used to open the Layer Properties panel?
  4. In conjunction with question #2, although a key ("Esc") is used to switch the focus from the Layers panel to the Editing window, there is no way to switch the focus back to the Layers panel by using a key.
This is good stuff, and I look forward to the possibility that the other layer navigation keys suggested will become available for testing, too. :)

Here on Win10 I have to drag the image to PL in order to open it, double click don´t do anything.

Dito (Win 8.1 64Bit, PL 64Bit).

Me neither. I went through all Settings, but no sign of it.

I am sorry but proposed ",/<" and "./>" keys are really non-standard and non-obvious. Also when you speaking about one handed operation, I tend to keep my right hand on mouse so it is easier to reach ESC than the keys you propose, especially when next step is grabbing mouse with right hand.

Only problem I see however that ESC works only on layer list, what about other panels? When I get into layer properties there's no way to exit it with ESC.

Isn't because ESC switches you forth-n-back between selection (Arrow) tool and last tool?

Maybe we should use TAB to switch forth-n-back between layers and edit window?
