FilterForge is pretty cool: thousands of effects and filters for one base price. Keep an eye out for special deals which seem to be an almost ongoing thing. Pays for itself rather quickly, since this one plugin replaces many others. I know you do a lot of work in 3D as well (like me), and for (base) textures it can also be a great addition. Some superb texture generators - and all for free once you get FF. And you can build your own effects and filters with the nodal editor.
