Just a hint: keep the tool settings panel around, or you'll miss 90 % of the tools' features … I've rearranged the toolbox to fit directly above the tool settings, so that I have them within easy reach. Just my 2¢.

Just in case you didn't know, you can also open the tool settings panel by double-clicking on a tool.
