es gibt wieder eine neue Testversion 18.90b9.

Neues:
- Farbverlauf-Werkzeug: Erzeugt nun optional eine Vektorebene
- Beschneiden-Werkzeug: Rundet das Rechteck nun wie das Lasso auf Pixel
- Markierung aller angewählten Ebenen über Kontextmenü der Ebenenliste steuerbar
- Little CMS: Damit sollte PhotoLine jetzt unter Linux/Wine fast perfekt laufen


diverse kleinere Fehlerbehebungen und Verbesserungen

I found some more icons that are difficult to see when the UI is using Dark Mode.

Es ist integriert, muss also nicht getrennt installiert werden.
Unter Linux wird es automatisch aktiviert, unter Windows/Mac OS kann es in den Einstellungen aktiviert werden.

man hat also jetzt die Wahl zwischen zwei Farbmanagementsystemen und kann unter MAC OSX, Windows oder auch Linux das gleiche Farbmanagementsystem nutzen. Für diejenigen, die mit verschiedenen Betriebssystemen arbeiten, sicherlich ein Fortschritt, wenn auch die Farbunterschiede in der Regel zwischen den verschiedenen Systemen minimal sind.

Little CMS ist ein Color Management System. Es dient dazu, Bilder von einem Farbraum in einen anderen unter Benutzung von ICC-Farbprofilen umzurechnen.

Wir haben das nur insoweit getestet, dass alle Konvertierungen funktionieren. Ob es schneller oder besser (wobei besser in dem Bereich schwierig zu definieren ist) ist, kann ich nicht sagen. Theoretisch hat es den Vorteil, dass es direkt Float-Daten unterstützt, aber ob das wirklich was bringt?

Der Hauptgrund für die Unterstützung von Little CMS ist für die Anwender unter Linux/Wine, weil unter Wine das eingebaute "Windows"-Color Management praktisch nicht funktioniert, und damit waren auch alle PhotoLine-Funktionen, die auf Farbraumkonvertierungen basieren, defekt. Und das sind einige.

I just noticed that the Line Pattern dialog of the Line Style Editor dialog now gives a live preview in the main editing window of the variable line width! Thanks!

However, the Line Style Editor dialog always opens in the middle of the main editing window, obscuring the image. It would be nice if the Line Style Editor dialog would remember its last used position, as do the adjustment layer dialogs.

This is a tip for further modifying the variable width lines generated by PL:

If you configure Adobe Illustrator as an external program to work on the active layer as a PDF, when you send the variable width line layer to AI, all the curve points that define the variable width are accessible. So, you can alter the variable width to your heart's content.

For a bizarre example, here's the original variable width line created by PL: and here's the line altered by AI and returned to PL:

neben der Vermeidung von Rundungsfehlern bei der Farbumwandlung, unterstützt LCMS zusätzlich BPC (Schwarzpunktkompensation) und Gamut Warning (Farbumfangswarnung). ACDSEE Pro ermöglicht Gamut Warning nur bei Verwendung von LCMS und nicht bei ICM. Gamut Warning würde den Softproof unter Photoline abrunden.

@ photoken: This is also possible, if you configure PhotoLine as an external editor; the conversion to pdf makes the difference (pdf does not support variable width, so PhotoLine converts the line professionally into a vector shape). But he shortest way is to use the new "vector outline" option in the newer betas (layout -> vector -> vector outline).
