How do we create vector fills? I tried copying a vector into the patterns list panel, but it shows up empty.

should work the way. Be aware that you paste into the "Patterns" list, not "Texture".

Strange, that is exactly what I do:
1) draw a couple of vector shapes
2) select them
3) copy
4) patterns menu: paste. Or right-mouse click, and paste.

Vector patterns are a work in progress with quite a few bugs. They work best, if you create the pattern inside a new document at the top left corner of the document.

Möchte man in einer bestehenden Arbeitsebene die Einstellungen durch abgespeicherte Voreinstellungen ersetzen, so wird im Unterschied zu früher eine neue Arbeitsebene erzeugt, d.h. man hat nun zwei Arbeitsebenen eine mit den Einstellungen vor dem Laden der Voreinstellung sowie eine weitere mit den geladenen Voreinstellungen. Ist dies gewollt?

Ob die Arbeitsebenen-Voreinstellungen eine neue Arbeitsebene anlegen oder sich auf die aktive Ebene auswirken, wird durch das "Neue Arbeitsebene"-Symbol neben der Voreinstellungsliste gesteuert.

Vector fills work fine when the image is a PLD, but the pattern does not appear when saving or exporting as a PNG or JPG image.

There are more functions not working correctly with this sample document, i.e. "Layer > Flatten".
It seems that vector fills don't work correctly, if the vector layer has on outline. I will fix that.

When a vector pattern fill has been applied to a vector shape, the fill disappears if the image is zoomed to over 200%.

That's the same problem as the problem with exporting. PhotoLine has two ways for displaying vector pattern:

• A fast one, that uses a cached image, but has a lower quality. This is only used on-screen and if the on-screen pattern size is smaller than 1024 pixels.
• A slow one, that draws the vector pattern the normal way.

The slow one currently has some problems.

Ich versuche gerade soweit möglich, Photoshop Shortcuts zuzuweisen. Wenn ich B für Brush drücke, steht danach der Fokus in der Gewicht TextBox (siehe Bild). Es ist also nicht möglich, ein anderes Werkzeug mit Kurztaste zu erreichen, da die Information von der TextBox abgefangen wird. Ist das beabsichtigt?

Funktioniert soweit einwandfrei.

Zwei Sachen sind mir aufgefallen:
1) Wenn man ein betroffenes Bild (also eines, das zwar eine EXIF-Farbraum-Info, aber kein eingebettetes Profil hat) öffnet und dann gleich wieder schließt, kommt die Nachfrage, ob man Änderungen speichern möchte. Das verblüfft, weil man zu diesem Zeitpunkt ja selber noch nichts an dem Bild bearbeitet hat. Ist das so Absicht - damit man die Gelegenheit bekommt, die beim Öffnen automatisch vorgenommenen Einstellungen (Farbraum-Zuweisung und ggfs. Drehung) zu sichern?
2) Außer an der besagten Nachfrage kann man nicht mehr erkennen, ob das Bild schon sein eigenes Profil dabei hatte, oder ob das Profil gerade erst durch PhotoLine zugewiesen wurde. Wäre es möglich, das noch irgendwo zu kennzeichnen? Oder alternativ die Automatik per Menü abschaltbar zu machen, damit sich PL bei Bedarf so verhält wie früher und die EXIF-Info ignoriert? (Das wäre nützlich, wenn man Workflows austesten will.)

Soft vector mask bug:

1) create a vector layer mask or clip layer which hides part of the image.
2) open the layer properties, and turn on clipping.
3) change the value for clipping.

Result: the vector clipping layer is hidden (?!)

Small feature request for improved fill workflow

Since you are working on vector fills, a small suggestion for controlling the position and scale of a fill in a more interactive manner in the view (rotation could also be added)

It's great that the Tool Settings panel for the Vector Drawing, Curve Creation and Create Line tools allows specifying the fill and outline colours.

It would be nice if the Tool Settings panel also included a "default colour" icon to quickly revert those colours to the defaults, as is done with the Foreground and Background colours in the main Toolbox.

The layer properties for a clipping layer always has the "Inverted" option selected. Clearing the checkmark does nothing, and when the layer properties are shown again that "Inverted" option is selected again.

While using the Vector Lasso, I think that the lasso should be automatically closed with a vector line when switching tools or using Tool...Lasso...Convert to Layer (Ctrl+J).

As it is, even though the vector shape is closed "internally" and works fine as a clipping layer, the view of the vector shapes can look bizarre. For example, when creating a vector clipping layer for a motorcycle,

the spokes of the motorcycle wheel are not visually defined in all cases, depending on how I happened to draw the vector lassoes.

In other words, it would be great if the Vector Lasso behaved like the Free Lasso in this regard.

Yes, the clipping options in the Layer properties don't work in B14.
