Hm, advanced?

Architectural retouching is more like these examples:

Medicum original: https://iili.io/JQi0mu.jpg

Medicum retouched: https://iili.io/JQiEzb.jpg

Bahnhofstrasse (Dudler) original: https://iili.io/JQiGXj.jpg

Bahnhofstrasse (Dudler) retouched: https://iili.io/JQilee.jpg

Open each linked image in separate tabs by pressing cmd+click or ctrl+click, then you can click the tabs to switch back and forth to see the difference

Well, quite impressive. But I am interested, is this retouching achieved with Photoline alone or with help of Photoshop? Because my attemps with Pholine alone cleaning up a foto like you did mostly look at best mediocre.

I have done (and I am still doing) everything in PhotoLine (I don't use any Adobe products!). I don't think that Photoshop or any other software will be of much help or in any way produce »better« results. Good retouching — particularly for architectural photography — relies on your personal skills and experience. You need to understand and train the logic behind the functions. A »good eye«, a solid education in graphics is helpful, as well as knowing how to use layers and the copy brush. In addition, you need time and stamina: very concentrated and precise work for 6 hours or even more per image is the average.

Absolutely clean work is a basic and mandatory requirement for this task.

My advantage is that I grew up at times when we didn't have a computer, just pencils and dyes to retouch either the negative or positive without having an »Undo« button

Der Versuch von "dutchman" ist ja auch eher mittelmäßig. Das Haus wurde völlig in die Breite verzerrt und die Proportionen stimmen nicht mehr. Also sehr realitätsfremd.

Thank you for the more detailed answer. The two pictures motivate me to work more deeply into retouching with Photoline.
