Obscure snapping bug spotted in the wild!

When the canvas is a *2 square size (64x64, 128x128, 4096x4096, etc.) the auto guides refuse to snap objects to the TOP LEFT corner - snapping will work on one axis only: either horizontal or vertical. But it is not possible to align an object to that top left corner easily or exactly.

Weirdly enough it does work for the other three corners and for any file that is 1) not square and/or 2) is not a *2 width/height. The objects will snap to that left top corner in a 800x800 canvas, for example.

Seems to work on OS X (tried a normal RGB image 64x64 and 128x128, also document mode).

Please check:
https://youtu.be/DfCfuQ4FNMs

As you can see, the box snaps without a problem to the right top, the right bottom, and the left bottom corner. Snapping to the left top corner only works for one axis.

Btw, the snapping guides do not show up in the video. I also noticed the vertical snapping guide is not displayed when the box is snapped to the top right corner.

I tried this with PL 20.40b2 x64 on Win10 x64.

There were no problems snapping a vector rectangle to the corners of a 64px by 64px RGB image. All the automatic guides appeared where they should, and the vector object snapped to all 4 corners. It was very different from the behavior your video shows.

I'm at a loss. Maybe it would help if you supplied a PLD file? I dunno....

How strange - I can consistently recreate this buggy behaviour - no matter the size of the file: as long as it is x^2 square in size, the smart guide snapping does not work correctly for the top left corner. And one of the smart guides (the vertical) is not displaying when snapping to the top right one.

Must be a difference in settings.

Figured it out! An Edge Width value of over 998% causes this issue. (I always set mine to 1000% to be able to pan the view at (almost) all times.)

Confirmed on OS X – both top left and top right corner, in fact. (I normally use 800%.)

Background layer Layer tool bug:

1) open an image ( with background layer )
2) activate the Layer tool, and switch to "extended" (little cog wheel)
3) turn off the lock (movement) for the background layer
4) use the layer tool to expand the canvas (drag just outside the green handles - NOT transforming/distorting!)

Result:
After performing this action, the background layer is automatically locked again.

Expected:
After performing this action, the background layer should not be automatically locked.

Size: Columns 3/5, physical
Text: Show Path & Page number entfernt.

(Also einfach 3 x 6 Fotos eingeben  )
