In 2017 a generic QT based G'MIC was released which did work with PhotoLine and PNG files via the External Programs option.
See thread: https://www.pl32.com/forum3/viewtopic.p ... mic#p42618
Unfortunately, this version is no longer available, because of some limitations:
https://github.com/dtschump/gmic-community/issues/102
Which means we no longer can easily access G'MIC QT directly from PhotoLine. I tried both the Krita and GIMP versions, but those won't work and require their respective hosts. One work-around solution is to set up a link to Krita with the External Programs option, and then apply the G'MIC filter(s), but that is rather cumbersome. It would be preferable if PhotoLine could directly use G'MIC somehow.
Not sure what to do next. I've been checking out if I can build G'MIC QT myself, but I am unsure about the build process and dependencies. Will have to do more research.
Here is a link to the site:

Perhaps someone has other suggestions how to make this work with PhotoLine? It's a super collection of filters and effects.

Re: G'MIC QT no longer working with PhotoLine
I had a look on this.
To solve the problem, I think, the best way would be to support the paint.net version of the filters.
I will do some changes in PhotoLine to support this. You have to use PNG then, since this seams to be the only file format that works.

Re: G'MIC QT no longer working with PhotoLine
Great news! Yes, I also found out about the Paint.net version, but didn't expect it to be useful - seems I am wrong!
Will G'MIC be included with PhotoLine then, or will a separate download be necessary?
