There is an option for that, but it is rather hidden...
Right-mouse click on the "Angle" word in the Layer Properties. A "Reset" option appears.
Thanks for tip! Yes, i read about different surprises so i clicked and double clicked in a lot of places. I clicked everywhere but not angle. But why? why? "Angle" resets zoom????
Anyway i really prefer just to see simple option in program settings to never scale pasted images.
P.S. I also love customizable mouse wheel click menu. "Reset Image Zoom" should be in that list as well. To speedup things i set it to show basic quick operations for layer and document like this:

I'd like to see an option to right-mouse click any function which then offers a "Add to Quick Favorites" option to build a favourites pop-up menu that is called with a custom shortcut key.
And an option to hit a shortcut to bring up a function search to quickly type a command and execute it.
For example: hit the ctrl+space key, a search bar is displayed which populates according to what the user types. Enter "cu" and the Curves adjustment layer is listed as the first entry in the search popup list, with other options below. Hit the enter key to confirm. Allow the user to use the cursor keys to select one command from the list.
This would save me a LOT of mousing around. I use this all the time in Blender, for example.pla

In Document mode if document size in pixels is small and if i paste large external image there, the image is always transforms to document size. So to revert image back to original size i need go to "layer settings" tab and set image scale back to 100%.
In document mode pasted images are scaled to correct resolutions. So if your document is 300 dpi (the normal value) and you paste an image with 100 dpi, it will be scaled. If you paste an image with 300 dpi, it will not be scaled. That's the intended way.

Scaling, rotating and scewing are all matrix operations and therefore the place to reset the matrix of a layer is not misplaced on the "Angle".
Since "Scaling" is already used for "Layer fixing" this was the best place.
Seems i understand the logic of the problem when ICC profiles affect gamma and color of surrounding grey background.
Even if i turn on "Hide border content" problem exists, but only when i assign cLUT or XYZ based Input ICC profiles to image. When i convert it to Matrix Based working ICC profile, gray background is back to normal state.
If i assign different Matrix Based input and working ICC profiles it don't affect background.
Probably this could be fixed somehow in future?
Small visual problem:
There is a option "layer list keyboard support"
For me this option cause only problems because i need always switch to main window to move image with keyboard pixel by pixel. So i turned it off.
When turn it off, i notice that selection color in layer tree became grey.
But i like blue colored selection. So i attempt to set custom color in settings. But in this mode it only allow to change different shades of gray. At least this is how it works on Mac.
So here is request for colored selection option when "layer list keyboard support" is turned off.

Another idea to make existing UI on Mac slightly better:
When tools windows arranged to two vertical columns there is a overlapped drop shadow from window between them.
Is it possible to make them snap one to other without that distracting shadow in between?
Request for JPEG XR lossless compression option for PLD files. In 16 bit depth compression speed is 2-3 x faster and file size 10% less than Tiff ZIP. See these tests for details https://www.pl32.com/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6299

So here is request for colored selection option when "layer list keyboard support" is turned off.
The selection color is blue, when the dialog or windows has the focus. This way the user sees, when he does anything, for example hat a keyboard key, it affects this selection.
The selection color is gray, when the dialog has no focus. The users sees, here is something selected, but any input will affect the dialog/window with the focus.
Request for option in Resize/Scale/Rotate dialog to process Resize/Scale/Rotate in linear gamma.
Currently it is possible in more complicated way:
- Convert image to same ICC profile but with linear gamma
- Resize
- Convert back to same ICC profile with sRGB gamma
Seems there is a small bug with layer scaling in Document mode.
After i change scaling algorithm in layer settings, i need always mouse grab and move layer to ensure that scaling algorithm changes in layer actually take effect.
Here is example how to check it:
- Set Layer scaling algorithm to Bilinear.
- Scale test image layer to 200px
- "Fix" layer, and make screenshot or remember pattern.
- Undo changes to original state.
- Now change Layer scaling algorithm to CubicSpline.
- Scale layer to 200px
- "Fix" layer, and see that it is actually still use Bilinear instead of CubicSpline
Here is example how it works:
- Set Layer scaling algorithm to Bilinear.
- Scale test image layer to 200px
- "Fix" layer, and make screenshot or remember pattern.
- Undo changes to original state.
- Now change Layer scaling algorithm to CubicSpline.
- Scale layer to 200px - Mouse grab and move layer
- "Fix" layer, and see that now it is really use CubicSpline
On-screen brush size and softness adjust with command(shift)+mouse drag is very useful tool, but it could be better if inner size (and outer size as well) have hard end stop in the center. Currently after decrease in size it continues increase to opposite way. This makes impossible to set inner size to 0 with command+shift+mouse drag.
Request for option to set brush size in pixels.
Currently brush size in measured some unknown units that don't match pixels and so it is rather complicated to use in pixel based drawing.
UPD. I guess brush size use something closer to radius size in pixels instead of more commonly used diameter size. So option to choose between radius and diameter units may be useful.
You don't need to rename "Histogram Correction" to "Levels". Just use both names separated with slash.
Not all palettes must always be displayed. Some of them has to be shown when a specific tool is selected. For example, Text Styles can be displayed only when text tool is selected.
