New open arrows for dropboxes match better to modern Windows and macOS elements (it was my idea
), but same time there are new problems with them:
- Currently in some places they look less accurate than classic "closed" triangle arrows.
- Arrow angle seems don't match to similar triangles in system UI, or they are somehow distorted by buttons frames designed earlier for smaller sized triangles.
- Dropbox button frame size changes dynamically depending of panel size and this cause distorted appearance of new "open" arrows.
- Too thin lines.
- Open arrows like these have their limits and don't look well in extra small sizes.
Old "classic" triangle arrows require less space and so they are less affected by dynamic transformation and look more accurate in smallest button sizes.
So maybe back to classic "closed" triangles? Many other pro apps still use classic "closed" triangles.
Or maybe improve current modern "open" arrows and dropboxes frames somehow?
