es gibt wieder eine neue Testversion 24.40b8.

Neues:

• Farbeditor, nicht-modal: Jetzt mit Alpharegler
• Layout > Vektor > Vektorebene optimieren: Kann nun Anfasser ein- und ausblenden (über "Ansicht > Ebenenanfasser anzeigen")
• Kurveneditor: Umschalt+Texteingabe erlaubt Formeleingabe (z.B. "x^2" oder "sqrt(x)")
• Gradation: Wird der Modus mit Umschalt geändert, wird der Modus aller Kurven angepasst
• Ebenenart konvertieren: Merkt sich nun für jeden Zieltyp die Einstellung
• Textbausteine: Verhalten verbessert und ist damit nach unserer Meinung die beste Lösung für Herberts Vorschläge
• Farbton/Sättigung, Einfärben: In höheren Bittiefen mit höherer Genauigkeit
• Bildübersicht, Allgemeine Informationen: Es wird der Name des Farbprofils angezeigt
• Externe Programme: Bei "Ebene" bleiben Ebenenmasken erhalten
• Externe Programme: Bei "Ebene" wird ggf. nur der Selektionsbereich ersetzt
• Windows und lange Dateinamen: Lange Dateinamen via Drag&Drop werden besser gelesen
• Diverse Fehlerbehebungen und kleinere Verbesserungen

Some other problems fixed in 24.01: added to Large List of Bugfixes 2019-2024

• JPEG XR is broken in WEB Export preview window.
• Magnifier, Moving Hand, Rotate view and Flood Fill tool cursor disappears after using Adjustment Picker.
• Crop Tool Inscribe can't be reset by single press of Esc key.

Some other problems fixed in 24.40b8 added to Large List of Bugfixes 2019-2024:

• Request/Idea: Show ICC Profile info in "Prop" panel in Browse
• Request/Idea: In Curves press menu with Shift key to change Spline/Bezier mode globally for Lightness and R G B curves together.
• Request/Idea:"Layer > New Adjustment Layer" user option to create Adjustment in Dockable Panel and don't show adjustment Modal Window. If double-click to already existing adjustment in the layer list, it will show Modal Window same as usual.
• Request/Idea: Windows UI add 1pixel mask around handle, so handle will be visually better separated from slider ruler.
• In Windows OS Vibrance adjustment sliders are de-centered a little bit.
• In "Hue Editor" if select all points and move them up/down using keys, points which are snapped to edges will move faster than others.
• Grid background in Curves and Hue Editor adjustments always looks aliased in macOS version.
• If set R G B Curves to Bezier (or any other) mode and use Black, White or Gray pickers - curves always reset to default Spline mode.
• "Color Balance" process everything in 8-bit only.
• Hue/Saturation in "Colorize" mode process everything in 8-bit only.
• When move slider by mouse, Exposure adjustment Offset slider currently snaps to 0.0001, but should probably snap to 0.001.
• Broken color management in "Create HDR-Image", "Focus Stacking" and "Stitch". Seems they ignore ICC profiles of original images.
• Broken color management in PLD thumbnail preview if in Document Mode one ICC profile set to layer and another to document.
• If PLD file is in Document mode and ICC profile is set in Document Attributes, in Browse there is no ICC profile badge visible on thumbnails.
• "Color Balance" adjustment sliders in dockable panel arranged from top to bottom as RBG instead of RGB.
• White Point Limit 50% creates same amount of effect as Output Levels 66.7%.

Some notes:

Curve editor: Shift+text input allows formula input (e.g. "x^2" or "sqrt(x)")

This is really nice option, but i guess no one will never find it. It could be way simpler just have one more menu item named "Formula"

My saved Colors collections seems gone. Should it be like this?

Windows slider handles seems inverted incorrectly when use light UI colors. Or is it just new look?
Also not a big deal, but don't you think that 2px outline feels too thick?

For my taste new Histogram colors in global panel and Curves now looks too dark. Histogram in Levels seems became too light. So now there is a huge difference in brightness between Histogram in Levels and Curves:

Here is one more idea for discussion. I noticed that adjustments layers frame outline use 100% black color and always feels like too contrast part in current UI for no practical reason. This especially feels too distracting in dark UI mode. So what if make frame lines less contrast? In this way user will be more concentrated on icons rather than on frame.
Also what if change that bottom tiny decorative slider icon to more actual representation of current rounded slider?

I agree with shijan, the curves dialog is way too busy now, with all the colors and curves. Did someone ask for this? Please revert it to previous versions - save my eyes.

I noticed the regression regarding the anchor point creation not remaining selected didn't get fixed. Please fix this - the help file refers to it the correct way. And I keep on forgetting to press [Cmd/Ctrl]. See post: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7013

The regression using [Cmd/Ctrl+c] to copy an earlier version still deletes later steps in the undo stack. Can that be fixed? See post: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7018

Also, is there any way to turn off adding to the "Adjustments" stack when adding a new adjustment? I don't use that panel since all the tools are too small for me - it's much easier using the floating dialogs rather than the "Adjustments" panel. It's all becoming too confusing. I've had to revert to beta 7.

Sometimes I use the »Chromatic Aberration« tool to adjust color fringing.

When I click the tool, it opens as always with a preview window:

Then I add it to the layer stack as a layer. Up to this point, nothing has changed.

However, when I double-click the adjustment layer, I don't get the window with the preview as with previous versions, but an »Adjustments« list without a preview window:

This is a no-go for me. How can I change this behavior? I want the preview window back when I double-click the adjustment layer.

Same opinion about the new behavior of the adjustment layers.
It is fine but should be optional in PL parameters.
And, if activated, a double click on the layer should open the modal window.
Current right click to open the context menu is not efficient.

Bypassing Modal Adjustment Window was expected as user option, but seems currently there is no UI yet to turn this option on/off. I also agree that double-click on existing adjustment should open modal window, but as Martin Huber explained to me, seems it is technically impossible yet if modal adjustment window disabled.

Modal Adjustment Window could be enabled/disabled by editing PhotoLine.xml in text editor.
Add this to show modal window:

Both should work in the next versiob.

Preferring the non-modal Adjustments panel was an accident. It will be fixed in the next version.

Some notes after using new Histogram in curves. From some point of view new look is nice, because active channel now visually better separated from inactive channels. I guess it could look nice If make histogram less bright and make curve more bright.

I also really prefer to have right click menu toggle to turn Histogram in Curves ON/OFF. There are many situations when i just want to see curve on plain background without any additional distraction.

Bei der Automaske scheint der "Verknüpft lesen"-Haken nicht mehr richtig initialisiert zu werden. Optisch merkt er sich zwar den zuletzt verwendeten Zustand wie gehabt, aber ich muss den Haken nach dem Programmstart einmal ab- und wieder anwählen, damit "Verknüpft lesen" dann auch tatsächlich aktiv ist.

Und noch eine weitere Sache: Wenn eine Arbeitsebene lediglich eine Arbeit aufwies, konnte man bisher (bis Beta 7) per Doppelklick auf das Arbeitssymbol den Einstellungsdialog öffnen. In Beta 8 funktioniert das nicht mehr, man muss nun immer über das Kontextmenü gehen.

Ebenso war es bisher so, dass sich beim Hinzufügen einer Arbeitsebene über die Knöpfe unterhalb der Ebenenliste (oder die jeweiligen Tastenkombinationen) sich im Anschluss automatisch der Einstellungsdialog für die jeweilige Arbeit geöffnet hat. Auch das passiert in Beta 8 nicht mehr.
