a quicker way to change brush sizes?

Post by lutz » Tue 24 Apr 2007 23:09

What would be the quickest way to change brush sizes in photoline?
I am aware that the brush editor has lots of different ways to adjust to modify brushes and their characteristics; what I am looking for is a really quick way to change the outer diameter (and perhaps the inner diameter simultaneously) preferably without the need to use a dialog window.
In Photo-Paint for example, you press the shift button and move the mouse up or down to enlarge or shrink the diameter. In photoshop you have the bracket keys as shortcuts for the size change. In both apps this has the advantage that you can adjust the brush size to precisely the size one needs because the brush outline is displayed on the current image in the same zoom-magnification as the active image file. The photoline brush editor shows the brush sizes always in 100% size and thus I have to re-adjust quite often because the real-world size in the zoomed in window is difficult to estimate.

Thanks in advance!
Lutz

You can find such information in the context help of PL32. Place the mouse cursor on the paint tool and press Help (F1 on Windows). You will get information regarding the paint tool.

shortcut list?

Post by lutz » Wed 25 Apr 2007 21:37

Thanks!

BTW, is there anywhere a list with all default Photoline keyboard shortcuts?
could be very handy.

Sorry, but at the moment there is no such list.

Hello,
thanks for the reply. It looks like a gap in the documentation.

Are all the default shortcuts visible or accessible in the
options>keyboard layout window or are there additional shortcuts somewhere else.
Or is each of them mentioned somewhere in the helpfiles, so that I cold collect the shortcuts myself?

I think all shortcuts are in the options dialog. Most of them are not mentioned in the online help.
If you want to collect it, I would use the options dialog.
