How can i do "neon" sign effects quickly?

is there a way to generate neon sign effects quickly? for fonts and polygons?

ie dark edges and bright glossy middle?

Choose Effects > Effects > Effects... (Or press the colorful E at the bottom of the layer list). I have chosen the glowing ring from the presets and altered it a bit. You have to click on the text "glowing outside" or "special emboss" to see the parameters for these effects.

An additional "outline outside"-effect with the circular red-black color-blend in "hard light" mode looks hot, too.

hi, thanks a lot, what action did u use to get the inner lighter pink?

It happened automatically, it is just because the ink of the text is red. I think I did not touch the parameters.
