Any idea how the browser can be disactivated ?
I constantly run into trouble opening directories containing AVIs causing PL32 to crash.
PL32 is not a video editor so why should it try to show AVI's when we have XNview to browse them without crashing?

Re: Browser deactivation
PhotoLine reads some bytes of every file in a browsed folder to detect if it is a readable image. This is done to avoid problems with incorrect file extenders.
Normally this is no problem. If PhotoLine really crashes on your avi files, it's a bug. Do you have a small avi that causes such a problem? If so, please send it to support@pl32.com.

Re: Browser deactivation
I am sorry, my statement was incorrect: PL does not crash, it stalls when browsing.
It takes ages to get through a directory containing movies as well as pictures.
The same thing happens when the 'Next Picture' command is used and the next file happens to be a movie in stead of a picture.
For that reason I'd like to deactivate the browser permanently or via a command in the Options menu.

Re: Browser deactivation
deactivation is not the solution for the problem. A better test for the file format is it.
If you send a test file, the test will be improved.
