Hello guys,
Does anyone know if it possible to create an animated PNG file in PhotoLine? This would be similar to creating an animated GIF file - using each layer of a multi-layer file to create a new frame of the animation. See here.
Animated PNG has advantages over animated GIF, namely, more than 256 colour space, and smaller file size due to better compression.

Animated PNGs are a non standard extension to the PNG file format.
PhotoLine can read such files, but it is not able to write it.

It's remarkable that GIF format is still with us... it was obsolete 10 years ago!

Re: Animated PNG file
That's true, GIF is outdated for a long time.
But it's the only format that is well known by the users and is supported from every browser and platform.
So at the moment, we don't plan to support a new format that is not widely used or even known.

I'm waiting for APNG browser support as well. When it will be supported as standard, I guess nearly all platforms will integrate it, not only PL. For the moment, unfortunately it's just something experimental.
