[Mac OS ] get rid of menu icons

Hi all, I did not find in the settings a way to hide menu icons ( open, close, save, save as....) I prefer only the names without icons that takes some area and sometime makes double line jump. According to me it's not necessary and give a microsoft windows look ;p
Or if it is impossible, a way to reduce them like in the tools menu.

Preferences -> Display ->User Interface -> Show Icons in Menu
