resizing images: max height, max width boundary box?

I would like to suggest an addtional option for the resizing/scale document dialog.
I believe it would be very helpful to be able to set maximum height and maximum width values and have an option which enabling proportional resizing to this limits. The resulting images would then fit inside a boundary box size determined by the user. This option would be very helpful when batch processing and batch resizing images because one would not need to separate landscape and portrait orientation images and one could, for example, easily process oddly cropped images to fit into the same slideshow.
Perhaps there is an option to achieve this already?

For example XnView has the requested options in the batch dialog:
it is called "Fit over (W orH)" (not very elegant)

It would be nice if one could use a similarly comfortable resizing function with the more powerful photoline actions.[/img]
