- Adjustment layers: The "normal" functions like "Tool > Curves" now create adjustment layers for all layer types except image.
- Tool > Color > Select Colors: You can now optionally invert the result.
- Tool > Curves: Double-clicking a color pipette sets the target color.
- "Edit > Find" and "Edit > Find/Replace": You can now enter return/tab/... and search for them.
- Change Layer Size, Change Document Size: Both functions now have presets.
- Optimize HDR
- Optionally, the brightness of dark parts of the image remains unchanged.
- A histogram is also displayed for 8- and 16-bit images.
- User interface
- Font list: Preselection with the mouse triggers a preview in the document.
- Font list: If the font list is not opened by clicking on the arrow, but with the right mouse button, no entry of the last used fonts is selected.
- Brush and color fields: If multiple layers or a file with multiple layers are dragged onto the field, all layers will now be used.
- Gradient editor, inside document or in the Tool Settings: The context menu of the color fields now also contains the color editor.
- Text completion in dialogs (e.g. "Layout > Dokument Information"): If the completion list was opened with the arrow down key, entries can be deleted with Delete/Backspace.
- Context Help, macOS: The context help (in the menu under "Help > Context help") can now also be used for menu commands.
- File dialog, Windows: If possible, the Window 10 file dialog is used.
- File dialog, macOS: The open dialog will show the correct title.
- Undo overlay: The display of the executed undo/redo step over the document window can be turned off (in the settings under "Working > Undo").
- Dark user interface, macOS 10.14 and higher: If the dark mode is activated in PhotoLine, the native macOS dark mode is also activated.
- Settings "Display > Document": The border colors can now be partially transparent.
- Lists: For texts, a tooltip is now only displayed if the text is not completely visible.
- Brush list, files: Brush files can be dragged onto the brush list. Before only layers/documents worked. Brush files had to be dragged onto PhotoLine itself.
- Sliders
- Snap better to even values.
- With Ctrl (Windows) or Command (macOS) they have ten times the step size.
- Scripting
- Windows: Better Powershell support.
- Vector: Clipping mode is supported.
- New documents can be created directly from the clipboard.
- Miscellaneous
- Circular and radial gradient are displayed faster.
- Vector output is faster in some areas.
- Brush outline inside documents: For brushes based on images, the outline is now optimized with a variable tolerance, and small outline speckles are deleted.
Bug Fixes
- Filter > Digital Camera > Color Shift: The layer's ICC profile is used for conversion.
- Layout > Text > Text on Path: Calling again after aborting the first time showed an empty path.
- Tool > Color > Color to Transparency: Picking a color from the document did not recalculate the histogram.
- Tool > Color > Color to Transparency: Transparency histogram no longer shows an error message before calculating the first histogram.
- Tool > Curves: After switching from HIS to RGB, the available curve modes were not adjusted.
- Tool > Optimize HDR: Width of the display field for minimum and maximum is adjusted to text size.
- Tool "Rotate View", Fix: Always used fast interpolation.
- Copy Brush: If the brush outline was turned off with Caps Lock, the preview was also no longer displayed.

- Copy/paste, insert at mouse position, Windows: Didn't work on Windows.
- Color field, drop-down list, document colors: In the drop-down version of the document colors there was a crash when accessing the context menu.
- Color field, drop-down list: Switching the color list in the drop-down list could cause a crash.
- Layer List: Click on active layer reduced it visually a selected one only.
- Layer List, two screens, macOS: If the secondary screen was docked to the left of the main screen and the layer list was docked to the right of the secondary screen, the name of a layer could not be changed properly because the text input field was not visible.
- Buttons with pictures, macOS: The images were not inverted when the user interface was dark.
- New Document, macOS: Problems with visible scrollbars fixed.
- Scaled vector layer with gradient fill/stroke, Fix Layer: The gradient was incorrect after fixing.
- Optimize Vector Layer: Selection whether selected points should be optimized did not work.
- Fix Layer, aligned vector layers: The new layer bounds were wrong.
- Fix Layer, vector: Layer masks were transformed.
- Virtual copies: If a virtual copy pointed to an invisible group that had adjustment layers as children, then pixel mode was not automatically activated.
- New path group from two path groups: The vector attributes were incorrect.
- Text layers, text cursor: BFor heavily scaled text layers, the text cursor position was calculated very roughly.
- Text layers, macOS: Page feed did not work in some cases.
- Adjustment layers, document with ICC profile, rotated view: Adjustments with color space conversion didn't work correctly.
- Open dialog, panel layout: With the Open dialog open, the panel layout could be changed.
- Preferences, menu, macOS: The preferences did not have an icon in the menu.
- Settings, keyboard layout, text functions like fat, italic, alignment: After a restart, the settings dialog didn't show the shortcuts correctly.
- Document window, title bar: Information was changed depending on the size of the document, instead of the window size.
- Plug-in EyeCandy: Problem with 16 bit images fixed.
- External Programs: Content of the edited layer was updated too early for some programs.
- External Programs, "Original" mode: There was a crash when the external program created a corrupted file.
- Load document, EXIF rotation: Applying the EXIF rotation marked the document as changed.
- Document Information, macOS: text completion didn't work correctly with "Copyright".
- EXIF: XMP copyright was not transferred to EXIF.
- EXIF: Exif DateTimeDigitized becomes xmp:CreateDate, Exif DateTime becomes zu xmp:ModifyDate.
- Ghostscript import: A menu entry was also created if no Ghostscript was installed.
- PDF import: Layer mask for a shade layer did not work properly.
- PDF import: Flipped Type3 fonts are imported correctly.
- PDF export: Gradients in groups that had "Align Pattern" enabled were not exported correctly.
- SVG import: Nested <tspan> elements are now supported.
- SVG import: "use" with unused "width" and "height" is now imported correctly.
- SVG import: "switch" evaluates "systemLanguage.
- SVG export: "class" and "style" were exported incorrectly.
- JPEG export: Crash with empty docujment fixed.
- Raw import, action: An assigned action was performed only on placeholders.
