Painting eyes - where you can start

Post by dutchman »

Today I've tried to paint an iris.
It's a hard to realize thing.
But I want to share my very beginnings.
I drawed a few circles as shown.
Then I took the smudge(finger)tool with a tiny brushpoint and the result is as the image shows.
It could be a good start.
Of course you can put a lot more information in this iris. But it's a starting point, I think.
If you have other approaches, please let me know.

Maybe this one could be a start for an iris?

Intersting exercise to paint the iris. It looks like you are on the way to master it at least. I have never tried myself.

Indeed, I took Hoogo's idea for the lines but make them thinner.

Here with a blurry pupil, looks a tick more natural.
