Photoline license

Post by PhilM »

I would like to use Photoline within the activities of my photo club.
We could purchase a license for the club.

But the license numbers remain readable in the software (menu/?/Register)
I would not like that the paid license spreads across all members. And more...

Is there a way to hide the license numbers ?

That is actually a really good point: how can PhotoLine be used in a classroom without giving away the registration number to students? I've been advocating PhotoLine in places where I teach, but this could become a real problem.

If you order a class room license or Multi User license, you will get a special registration number that is not shown.
If you use a single license in this purpose, it's illegal.

Just to make clear, I have only been trying to get PhotoLine adopted in the school I teach - it hasn't happened yet. So that is why I asked :)
Anyway, good to know.

The price for a class room license is 100 Euro.
You are allowed to use PhotoLine on all computers of one class room with this license.

That is very, very affordable (almost TOO affordable!). Thanks.

I am thinking about teaching PhotoLine at various locations, but as a freelance trainer. This means I would move a lot from location to location, renting rooms and machines to do so. Is the classroom license of PhotoLine compatible with a scenario like that? I would install PhotoLine only for the duration of a class session on the machines, and then uninstall and remove PL from all machines. Then move to another location (rented room again), and do so again.

Can the classroom license be "linked" to a freelance instructor, going from rented location to location, installing and removing PhotoLine from the machines? Or is it meant to be fixed to one physical location?
