They're a bit pixelated and reduced in quality because of compression. 128 KB is the limit for uploads on the forum. But to be honest, I was merely experimenting and didn't put in a lot effort.

Of the three types of mocks up: Conceptual, Referenced and Realistic, this is the first kind. And therefore, it need not have completely realistic light and shadow.

Thanks for the comment!

The picture of the boxes is nice, and I also quite like the design of the bottles. Also, the brushed metal and the reflections on it look nice. But I see some problems in the details of the bottle.

- Is the cap matt or glossy? The lights left and right seem matt to me.
- The brushed metal lacks perspective.
- The black stencils on the metal shows no reflections.

Yeah, you're correct @Hoogo, it is lacking in a quite a number of ways.

For one, the perspective is completely off. The reflections need work too. And even the title, Indaco, has a different perspective to the rest of the copy, which makes the entire thing look completely wrong.

I was just checking that I could in fact reproduce some of my earlier (and honestly, better looking work) in PL, and I could. I wanted to clip a light source within the box and displace/distort on the shape of the bottle. Which would have produced a better result, and made it look slightly more realistic. The cap is particularly awful!!!

I'll rework it and show you later. Thanks for the feedback! :D

I want to do tuts for people on PhotoLine. I have really learnt to love this tool!

I particularly love how Photoscape X has these lovely micro demos that last only like 15 to 30 seconds. Look into their webpage. It's really good for a new user. Also, their software itself has a brilliant section where every feature is listed as a series of boxes and when you click on the box, it tells you exactly where to find it. For example, Remove Background is a box: and when you click, it shows you: Edit >> Edit Image >> Remove Background AND you get a GIF preview of the actions. AND a link to the tutorial online. And Photoscape X is a surprisingly good tool, too, but it's not aimed for designers. It's for photographers alone. To cap it all of, it is a free tool.

I wish we could do something like this for PL!
