- wir uns damit von Windows abkoppeln.
What do you mean with "we disconnect ourselves from Windows"?
PhotoLine will not adopt improvements or UI changes introduced by Microsoft automatically.

Sorry maybe it is my ignorance talking here, but since you have a MacOS version too, disconnecting yourself from Windows would be better since the restrictions are going to be over and you can have exactly the same UI across platforms.

Cheers,
Juan

That's not always beneficial. Remember Java Swing? It looked differently than other applications, and it seems to me that nobody liked it.

But maybe times have changed after 20 years, now every webpage has its own UI with own elements and designs...

Probably yes, but like you said after 20 years things are different.

Even I remember like 15 years back when I was using Vectorworks, in the Windows version you could collapse the tools panels meanwhile in MacOS that wasn't possible and you had to install some kind of OS programs I think it wa called blinds in order to be able to collapse the panels, so yes there are always problems when your software is platform dependant. Of course this was implemented later on but it was not nice to have different app behaviour just because of this.

Since you state that this is a lot of effort, can't this transition be done in steps so it will not consume so much develop time at once?

I figured out why it doesn't work as intendet: I don't have the 'General' tab open... don't need it. Never needed it. Shortcuts are my friends

Hi all,

I hope it is ok to write in English.
Here is a WIP of my icon proposal, I just reworked the one that PL has, just a lift up and I have been using this for one year already.

Hallo,

"Keep it simple" !
