ICC/ICM Profile werden in Win11 ignoriert

Update: Der Fehler ist nicht mehr relevant, wurde von Microsoft Ende Januar 2022 behoben (siehe unten).

In Windows 11 (Version 21H2, Stand 3.1.2022) hat das Color-Management einen schwerwiegenden Bug: Wenn in den Einstellungen das Farbprofil (ICC/ICM Dateien) geändert wird, wird das von den meisten Bildbearbeitungsprogrammen ignoriert (Windows Einstellungen - System - Anzeige - Farbprofil).
Das betrifft auch Browser und andere Software, die sich auf das Farbmanagement von Windows verlässt.

Für alle, die mit einem kontrollierten Workflow arbeiten bzw. ihren Monitor kalibrieren, ist das ein gravierendes Problem.

PhotoLine ist davon auch betroffen, es gibt aber einen Workaround: In PhotoLine - Bearbeiten - Einstellungen - Farbverwaltung - Geräte - direkt das gewünschte Farbprofil auswählen (anstatt "System"). Getestet mit Version 23.01.

In einer Reddit Diskussion fand ich folgende Erklärungen dazu:
“The problem is that The Win32 API call GetICMProfile() that applications use to retrieve the ICC profiles installed on the system doesn't actually return anything at the moment, so any application that uses that API function think that there are no profiles at all installed.”
“Seems like Affinity Photo (at least) and the built-in Photos app aren't impacted by this bug at least”
“The built-in Windows 11 Photos app is a UWP application, which use a different API to retrieve the system ICC profiles. Never used Affinity Photo before.”

Offenbar wurde von Microsoft der Bug mit einem Update behoben (habe es aber selbst noch nicht getestet):

"This has been fixed in the latest Windows update "January 25, 2022—KB5008353 (OS Build 22000.469)"."

In der Version 23.02 von PhotoLine wäre auch eine Umgehung für den Fehler.

Ich habe das eben mal ausprobiert und ja, sie scheinen das behoben zu haben.
