I have to say that this beta feels very fragile. In the course of two days PhotoLine crashed 3 or 4 times.
Just now I was merely changing the font and tinkering with the settings (selecting different type family members of Avenir Next) and it crashed again. No error message, nothing: just crashes.
This has happened at least 5 times now in the past three-four days since I installed it. In various contexts.
With Herbert's List of palettes...
I tried to Drag&Drop entries in the Retro Machines to sort them, and the entries got lost.
By the way: That .pldg is a binary format?

Sad to hear that, but I can't reproduce the problem.
I just tried that and it worked fine. Are you able to reproduce that with a simple document or does it only happen in certain circumstances?
And if you are on macOS, you could send us a crash report (located in "~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports").

There will be some enhancements in the next beta. But the problem of entries getting lost is new to me, so it would be helpfulf if you could tell me which entry you are dragging to which location.

I started with moving the Commodore64 to the top of the list, but it doesn't matter from where to where I move something. I have just tried again and deleted all Ataris.
If I open an RGB image with the histogram panel open, and then open the curves dialog and switch it to edit in Lab mode, Photoline immediately applies some sort of adjustment! I see the histograms move in the histogram panel. This didn't happen before Beta 12. Does anyone else see this bug?

Yes.
That is evil, and you should feel bad
Not really. Binary formats are far more efficient. Herbert's palette has about 8 MB. A XML version would probably be 10 times the size and would take much longer to decode. The xml version could be compressed, but then decoding would take even longer.

I just tried that and can't reproduce it:
- All groups were closed.
- I opened "Retro Machines Palettes"
- I selected "Commodore 64".
- I dragged "Commodore 64" to the beginning of "Retro Machines Palettes".
- I was not able to insert it at the beginning as there was no insertion mark. Instead it was inserted at the bottom of the color. It was selected and the color list scrolled to make it visible, but it wasn't deleted.
I will fix the problem that you can't insert it at the beginning of "Retro Machines Palettes".

I never get any insertion marks, only selection rectangles.
I found my lost items now, they were inside the other entries.

The rectangle marks the group that receives the dragged entry. In your situation, the entry will be inserted in "Game Boy Classic".
If you want to insert it behind/before "Game Boy Classic", you would have to move the mouse to the left edge of the list. But as I already said: This is currently not working correctly.
In theory, however, it should work just like the Layer List.
