I recently bought Affinity Photo, but have gone back to Photoline because it is so much simpler, more intuitive and easier to learn.
HOWEVER, I can't find a detailed description of how to create and install brushes in Photoline 24. The existing FAQs I've found on the subject are outdated, confusing and incomplete. One says to use .abr brushes, another says you can use any greyscale image file, etc. Also, I can find nothing about how to do this in the Photoline 24 User Guide.
I've tried creating geometric round .jpg files but their 'Hardness' can't be adjusted in the Brush Editor. Apparently I am doing something wrong. Please advise on the best way to create and install brushes. Thanks for any assistance!
Also, I can't find any Photoline brush sets to buy online. Are there any?

Re: How to create and load brushes in Photoline 24
There are 2 types of brushes in PhotoLine:
If you want to create a free brush, there are several ways:
If you want to import an ABR file, you can either drag it onto the Brush List or onto PhotoLine. On macOS this is the app icon in the Dock, on Windows this is anywhere on the PhotoLine main window.
After importing another brush list, you can switch to the previous one by using the window menu of the Brush List:
- Geometric brushes which are oval or rectangular
- Free brushes which are based on a pixel image
If you want to create a custom geometric brush, you select an existing one from the Brush List and edit its properties in the Brush Editor.
If you want to create a free brush, there are several ways:
- You can copy (a part of) an image, right-click the brush field and select "Paste".
- You can drag a layer from the document window onto the brush field.
- You can drag an image file (PLD, JPEG, PNG, ...) onto the brush field.
Both ways should work fine.

As i requested long time ago, it would be very useful to have Hardness slider for Stamps and raster image-based Brushes that simply apply Blur effect to the brush.
