Re: Neue Testversion 20.90b3

Re: Neue Testversion 20.90b3
The bugs I reported are fixed!
- placeholder layer in group no anti-aliasing
- dragging layers upwards in the layer stack resulting in an odd order
- EXR works again with new files
Thank you!
And the lasso tools for placeholder layers are excellent to have. I hope we'll see them implemented for other non-bitmap layers as well. Please allow the "Select Colors" in Tool-->Color to function on these too!
Many thanks! This will make life working with externally loaded/linked files much easier.

Re: Neue Testversion 20.90b3
If at all possible, please add an option or switch that makes it possible to link the transformation of unrelated layers (regardless of structure, groups, etc.).
It has been requested a number of times before by other users, and it would make life much easier when working with two or more related items that must transform (position, rotation, skew, scale, etc) together, but are not grouped together, or cannot be part of a virtual layer. In Photoshop this is accomplished by locking two or more selected layers with the chain option.
Currently the only workaround in PhotoLine is to select such related layers manually first, and then perform the transform action. My personal workaround is to include a unique combination of characters suffixed to these layers, and then do a search for this string, then select the layers, and transform.
But this is, of course, quite cumbersome, and error-prone. A simple option in the layer panel to link (chain) unrelated layers would be awesome to have. For more complex compositing jobs it is nigh-on essential.
But also for layouts: for example, imagine that all the text elements in a layout must be grouped separately from the visual design for translation reasons, but you still want the visual elements and related text items to transform together: not easily possible now. It requires too much work (selections).
Please consider implementing such a function. It is already possible to select and transform layers independent from the layer structure - we just need a simple option to link the transform.

Re: Neue Testversion 20.90b3
Just a quick question: is it just me, or is the same seed use for each clouds and noise (textures)?
Is there an option to change the randomize seed? I'd like to be able to change the base clouds. Otherwise it always results in identical results, which is sometimes wanted, but often is not.

It doesn't use a seed. It is basically Perlin noise, so you could just select a different starting position on an imaginary cloud plane.Herbert123 wrote: ↑Thu 16 Nov 2017 10:20 Just a quick question: is it just me, or is the same seed use for each clouds and noise (textures)?

We once thought about this, but most people are already overwhelmed by the current options, and adding two additional options won't improve the situation.

Panel-Layouts:

No worries, the exact same effect can be achieved with a fill layer and a texture. Then move the fill around, and done! And it's easy to combine with multiple noise layers, and perform some blending.Martin Huber wrote: ↑Thu 16 Nov 2017 12:12It doesn't use a seed. Testbild für die fehlende Vorschau, wenn man die Transparenz einer Maske mit Arbeit per Kurve ändert.

Bug: light and shadow dialog empty
When I open the light and shadow adjustment layer dialog, it comes up empty. The adjustment layer panel works fine, though.

In der Schnellauswahl funktioniert die Shift-Taste zum Markieren des Hintergrundes erst, nachdem man mal ohne Shift-Taste einen Vordergrund markiert hatte.
