Drag and drop on OSX

Hi,

When I do some work with PL15, after a while, I can no longer move icons in the finder. That means, no drag and drop, no copying or moving files any longer. I have not yet been able to pinpoint after which function(s) in PL15 this occurs. I use OSX 10.5.6, Power Mac G5 with 5,5 Gb RAM. The only solution is a restart of the system. It happens only after I use PL15. On days when I don't work with is, this error doesn't occur. It is possible that it is an interaction with other software, but I don't know this.

Is this a known thing? I work more and more with PL and it is very disturbing in my printshop.

Sometimes I had this problem, too. But it occurred only once in a week or less, so I cannot tell any reason for it. Since I upgraded to a Mac Pro I haven't seen this any more. Mostly there was a program crashing before (not only PL) with the spinning ball for about five seconds an then quitting.
I remember that it's not necessary to reboot, just log out and in again.

Thanx. So it perhaps isn't a PL problem after all. It's true, it doesn't happen on my MacBook Pro, which is of course an Intel machine. I'll look into that.

I had this problem once on an Intel iMac. In my case the culprit was the Finder. Whenever I selected a certain file in a Finder window, I was no longer able to do any drag and drop afterwards. After deleting the file the problem was gone.

Are there any "strange" error messages in the console?

I don't think, that this message is connected with the problem.

On Mac OS X drag and drop is handled by a separate process ("pboard"), so the message doesn't have to be output by PhotoLine.

My Epson Perfection 1640 scanner won't work from within either PL32 or Canvas X since I upgraded to OS X.5.6 (now 7). A nuisance. The driver hasn't been upgraded for three years; the TWAIN for eight.

The Scanner software still works as a stand-alone, however.

I add my little request here, since probably it's not worth another thread. I don't know if and how it woks on windows, but on Mac I'd like to have multiple file import through drag & drop. Now, If I try to import some images in may PhotoLine document, only one will be imported (the first selected in finder?) It will be nice if all document dragged from finder will be imported, and even nicer if they will be arranged on the visible page from PL document

Have you also upgraded to an Intel Mac? In 64bit mode scanner plugins won't work because they are 32bit.

Hi,

I have reinstalled the OSX system software and now the drag-and-drop problem seems to have dissapeared!
I think there must have been a conflict with some other program that I had installed.
