PhotoLine and big (.psd) images?

No, Photoline's brushes can't do that. You can resize your own brushes, rotate and resize the usual brushes, but there are no options for an automatic jitter.

Again the same problem: a 1.15Gb psd (9600x6000) file that won't open with PhotoLine (I tried 15.55 and 16.11 to see if's there some differences). Do you want to download 1.15Gb from internet?
It's again an Artlantis Render 3 file saved as .psd to get mask layers, and it can be opened by Preview, Graphic Converter and Pixelmator (but all lose mask layers); I must return here to reed the trick that saved me the bacon last time.

I got the email and downloaded the image - no problem here.

This means there's no problem to open the file? Strange, I tried on two Mac's and on both PhotoLine hanged with ~100% of cpu usage (one of 8 or 2 cores). The Mac I tried are:
MacPro "Nhemal" 4x2.66Ghz (8 hyperthreaded) with 10Gb ram Mac OS X 10.6.5 (here I let PL work more than 1 hour, before killing)
iMac C2D 2x2.8Ghz with 4Gb ram Mac OS X 10.5.8

Could it be a Mac problem, then? On my Mac, both PL 16.11 and 16.40b7 also hang after trying to load the sample file. Tried both 64 bit and 32 bit versions. I don't always get near 100 % CPU usage (on one core), in some cases, PL used around 5 % of CPU time but still wouldn't respond. I usually killed PL after a minute or two.

We managed to get the problem here. You have to drag the image to PhotoLine. If you open it by the open dialog or the browse window, the problem doesn't occur.

Strange. For me, PL also hangs if I use the "Open …" dialog or the browser. The preview in the browser seems to work fine.

This is really strange, as these two ways of opening the file work fine for me on Mac OS X (tested with version 16.11).

Here it works fine with drag and drop, the open with -dialog and with the preview! No problems with this file.

Whats the amount of your RAM? I have 4GB at my PC, Win7 64bit home. Another possible problem: free space at your HDD. Clean and defrag your harddrive and try again.

Opening the file from inside PhotoLine 15.55 (Open or browser) works for me too, on iMac Core 2 Duo with 4Gb ram.
I'll try tomorrow on MacPro (with both PL 15.55 and 16.11), but I figure it works too.

4Gb here on iMac, 10Gb on MacPro... and free HD isn't the problem on both; defrag?! what is defrag?... ah, now I remember: it's one of the huge windows trouble shooting

PSD files can be compressed or uncompressed. PhotoLine creates compressed PSD files, your software seems to create uncompressed ones.
