Printing Problems

I have problems printing from PhotoLine ; I get Vertical lines all over the picture with about 1 cm in between.

If I use my Iphoto , I never see this problem and recently I downloaded a Photoshop CS5 Trial ofcourse And again there is no prblem with this.

BUT but I'm not going to buy Photoshop (can't afford it) and I know PhotoLine can solve this ---- I hope ?

I use
PhotoLine 15.52 UB ---- I use Mac ---- My Printer is a Canon IX4000

So Please does anybody have a clue?

If you create a PDF preview in the print dialog, are there vertical lines in the preview, too?

There should be a no difference between printing the PDF and printing directly from PhotoLine.
The PDF contains the data, that PhotoLine is creating while printing. So if the PDF is correct, the error has to be on the printer side. But if the error is on the printer side, printing the PDF should create the vertical lines, too. Do you get vertical lines when printing the PDF?

No vertical lines when I print the PDF at all !!!

I've got a new Mac Programe called Aperture 3 - exactly the same problem . But as in PhotoLine , printing a PDF NO lines there either .

The two programs I can print directly , without the PDF are IPhoto and Adobe Photoshop CS 5 - I downloaded the last one as a trial.

So in all to all : I has to be something with PhotoLine and Aperture 3 , and not the Printer - or?

this would be really a surprise for me. I'm not so familiar with Mac but did you try to update your printer-driver?
I really can not believe that a Apple-Product (Aperture) will not work well with your Mac.

Like Andreas, I don't think, that the error results from PhotoLine. PhotoLine is creating the data, that you are seeing in the PDF. You said, that the PDF looks and prints fine. For PhotoLine there is no difference between printing to a PDF (if you create the PDF by using the print panel) and printing to a real device.

Do you have the same settings in the print panel in PhotoLine and in iPhoto?

Yes Andreas I have updated my priner driver and even talked to Cannon about this and they say : " It can't be the printer , since you can print from IPhoto , Photoshop DIRECTLY and make preview PDF's from PhotoLine and Aperture 3 and print theese out ""

Hi Martin and Andreas,

I guess I solved the "problem" myself - had to figure this out , I installed the printerprogram once again , updated the drivers. Removed ( maybe important ) the old driver .

NOW everything works just fine - beautiful prints in PhotoLine AND also in Amperture 3 .
