I'm still working through the trial version, and it's a bit of a learning curve after PS, but thank you for providing something that it looks like I can use! These forums have been a great help.
Lots are going to take a bit of getting used to: the way layers work, convert to CMYK isn't reversable (undo) - I like to check colour percentages.

Is it remotely possible in the future to have a CMYK percentage of colour under the RGB when working in RGB?
I do miss the magic wand and convert to path, but I can live with that. Loads of features that my old PS didn't have more than make up for it.

This is definitely going to be my PS replacement!

Really? If I use Layer -> Convert Layer Type … to convert to CMYK, or if I use Tools -> Color -> Convert with Color Profile, then in both cases, I can undo the change.

I'd say it's quite likely – this is already in the beta version.

The Automask tool (next to the lasso tool) should be similar to the magic wand. You can also convert bitmaps to vector graphics – simply use Layer -> Convert Layer Type … and select "Vector".

You're absolutely right. I don't know what I was doing to come to that conclusion, but if I find it again, I'll let you know!
