Boundaries

Hi all,
I was wondering if there is an option to disable or adjust the "transparency" when a layer is out of boundaries like in the image, I would like to preview my picture what is inside the picture size without seeing the out semitransparent area.

Not really a solution, but at least a workaround:

On top of the other layers, create a white layer which has the same size and position as the background layer, then use Layer -> Clipping Layer -> Clip Previous.
