Blur problem (SOLVED)

Hi all,

I try to apply a gaussian blur to a picture but the result is not the desired one if the filter is apply directly without being a layer adjustment, it only apply to a half of the picture.

Do you work on Windows or OS X? Which version of PhotoLine?
You loaded a picture and selected "Gaussian Blur" from the menu?
What was your settings in the dialog, did you activate full preview and/or dialog preview?

I´m on windows xp 32bits, PL 17.50B1

You loaded a picture and selected "Gaussian Blur" from the menu?

- Open the picture.
- Menu Filter - Blur - Gaussian blur.
- Size 255%; Intensity 100%, Channels RGB.
- Click Ok and the result is only half picture blurred.

Now if I do this:
- Open the picture.
- Menu Filter - Blur - Gaussian blur.
- Size 255%; Intensity 100%, Channels RGB.
- Click create Adjustment layer and then Ok the result is right (whole picture is blurred).

What was your settings in the dialog, did you activate full preview and/or dialog preview?

No matter if I activate the full preview and/or dialog preview, the result is the same.

I still don't get this problem here, even with your image.
Do you see a correct preview if you activate full preview?
Do you get the problem if you just start PhotoLine and load the image and use the filter?

I see the problem, but I still can't create the problem.
Do you get the same problem with a different picture? Can you try different picture sizes?

If I change the resolution to 72, 96, 100 dpi there is no problem... but now trying to resize it to 150 dpi I got new artifacts a white band in the bottom of the image and the half blur.

Last night I tried the same picture on Windows 7 and I couldn´t reproduce the problem, it can´t be a memory leak somewhere or something like that on win XP 32 bits?

I tested the issue on Windows XP 32 bit here and had no problem.
The computer was dual core, 3 GByte memory. I think the problem is your computer (not Windows or 32 Bit).

Hi, I updated the nvidia drivers to the latest one and the problem went away.
