Help promote PhotoLine on photo forums

Hello all

We can help promote PhotoLine and have a bit of fun with our photos and enjoy others' photos too by going on photo forums.

At Digital Photo Review http://www.dpreview.com/ I contribute to the Kodak Talk, Panasonic Talk, Olympus Talk, Micro Four Thirds Talk, The Digital Darkroom, and Mac Talk.

There's a lot of talk about equipment in the various camera brand forums, but people also show their pix and talk about post-processing. If you show pix, you can talk about processing in PhotoLine and demonstrate PL attributes. Or you can just go on and start a topic on PhotoLine, showing what it does within context, e.g. with pix taken with a Panasonic camera on the Panasonic forum.

Will this help PL and the Hubers along? Who knows! But it certainly won't do any harm provided you're nice about it.

Have a look. Most of the people on the forums are pretty nice although there are a few trolls around who need to be slapped down on occasion.

I just posted on the Topaz Labs forum http://www.topazlabs.com/forum/showthre ... #post52207 a note about using PhotoLine to run the Topaz Detail plug-in. PhotoLine is not on the list of software that will run their plug-ins, and that list includes a couple of applications much less powerful than PhotoLine.

Well, I think what you have stated here would be a very good idea which would promote Photoline on photo forums. Unfortunately, it seems that Photoline has not yet been included in the software list which will run the respective plugins. However, we can hope for the plugin to be included soon with an update.

I'm promoting PL in my blog, and just post links to the articles in forums - as neutral as possible, sometimes as brutal as possible.
