Burnt out highlights; red color on screen?

Hello folks

I think I've unknowingly selected some command. I have a Panasonic RAW2 pic with a deliberately burnt out white background. PL converts it, of course, but I am getting this red color on the screen where the burnt out highlights area. I presme this is some sort of automatic indicator of burnt-outness!

How do I turn if off? it’s driving me nuts.

Ah, found it while looking for something else. View > Mark Extreme Values. I must have turned it on when I was doing that screen shot about the other thing. I his command-3 instead of command-shift-3 for the screen shot. Sigh!
