Text moves when saving an image

Hello, I'm a happy user of PhotoLine 17 and I have a problem...

I added green lines as a reference so you can see the problem more clearly.

Is there any way to avoid it?

Not a real solution, but maybe an useful test:
What happens if you convert the text layer(s) into vector?

I don't have a solution either. There are 3 text blocks, that are shifting to the right. Is there something special about these blocks (I assume these are 3 separate text layers)?

Do you have a PLD-file with text layers, that can be used to reproduce the problem?

Yes, those are 3 separate text layers. The text obviously doesn't shift if I convert it into vector, but then I lose the ability to edit it afterwards.

As far as I can tell, there is nothing special about those 3 text blocks.

On my Mac (OS X 10.8.3, PL 17.53 64 bit), both the sample.pld and a saved jpeg image show the problem (I presume that the line should be right-aligned with the text). Here's a screenshot.

What OS and version of PL are you using?

In any case, my guess is that there might be a slight font spacing problem (in PL or the OS you are using). The text box which you are using automatically grows when the text grows, and expands accordingly (to the right).

A simple workaround would be to slightly enlarge the text box to the left, so that the text can "grow" in that direction.

Here (Mac OS 10.7.5, PL 17.53 64 bit) the sample.pld and an exported JPEG are identical, too.

To stratokaster:
On my computer PT Sans was already installed. Did you use this version or a different one?

I have the same situation like Burkhard: If I open the sample.pld, the text is already shifted to the right (and it stays there on exporting).

What version of PT Sans do you use? The preinstalled one on my computer (and the one I am using) is version 7.0d1e1.

If you are resizing the text layers to the left (like Burkhard said): What happens on export? Is the text still shifting?

I have previously adjusted the text layer.
The text alignment is set flush right. (Google Translater)

Well, it seems the font is not the one to blame. BTW, I have the same version of PT Sans as Martin.

I am now able to replicate the problem.

The problem only happens with automatic text layers (text layers, that don't have a fixed size) in combination with non-left alignment. So if you resize the text layer, the problem will be gone.

I will fix that.

Generally speaking it is not a good idea to use automatic text layers for text, that should be placed at exact locations. Text size may differ a bit depending on the used OS or version of a font.
