The ALT+I shortcut is not special for layermasks. It just inverts colors. The layermask is white, inverted it is black. Maybe that's the reason, you didn't found it in the PL-help.

Thanks for the clarification about the Alt+I keyboard shortcuts. Although it's listed with Tool -> Color -> Invert, it doesn't seem to be documented in the English-language Help -- at least a search doesn't find it. Another frustration for new -- and OLD -- users of PL.

I don't think that keyboard shortcuts are documented at all – simply because they can be re-assigned in any way you please. Do you really think it helps to have the default keyboard shortcuts in the manual, given that it's easy to read them off the menus? Or maybe a "reverse" list with all keyboard shortcuts in alphabetical order? (You can do an inverse search via the Preferences, but that's much less straightforward.)

Burkhard, here's a screen cap of a menu drop-down from another application showing part of a keyboard map.

All of the keyboard accelerator keys can be accessed -- both customized and the default keys that have not been altered through customization.

So, yes, I do think having help or menu access to this information is valuable.
