Foreign character set wont cut and paste?

I am trying to cut and paste Vietnamese characters from MS Word into photoline but it wont recognise the keystrokes.

I downloaded a intermediate winVNKey and it sort of worked once, anyone knows how to set it up for German umlauts and stuff?

You are on Windows?

Foreign alphabets should be no problem as long as the writing direction is from left to right. It might be a problem with the text, that Word puts on the clipboard. What happens, if you don't use "Edit > Paste", but "Edit > Paste as Unformatted Text" instead?

yes I am on windows.

and since i am going from MS WORD, there is no options for paste in PL.

Also when i opy from online javascript keyboard, PL crashes

If the keystrokes are filtered thru the QUOTE filter then PL accepts but if it comes from MS WORD then there seems to be some extra characters added that PL doesnt like

so upload a Word test document to see what happens.

Now i have been able to get some keystrokes in PL but not all, unknown keystrokes are substituted

I crash attempting to paste the OP's text from the OP's Word file into PL. This is using 17.53 Windows, using either 32- and 64-bit versions.

I do not crash using my own Vietnamese Word file that uses the VNI-Helve font.
