Re: PhotoLine Video Preview
Nice, but short. You could additionally show the effects of changing the layer intensity in the layer list.

thanks all, please press "Like" if you find it useful... \ :]
though not for my sake, but so that other newbies might raise an eyebrow or two, thinking >
"hmm, maybe this is something i should look into"
btw, what are your favorite functions /features in PhotoLine, that PhotoShop doesn't have ?

Re: PhotoLine Video Preview
Easy, the open communication that we have with the developers, that´s the biggest thing. The second is the amount of adjustment layers that PL offers, in post-production this is priceless.erikals hat geschrieben: btw, what are your favorite functions /features in PhotoLine, that PhotoShop doesn't have ?

Re: PhotoLine Video Preview
anything i missed out on though?
i'm sure there's tons, as i only used PhotoLine for a week...
like shift-clicking on the rotate button to rotate all layers at once.

The possibility to freely distort any layer non destructive. And all the adjustment layers.

Re: PhotoLine Video Preview
It was a good idea to make this video, but it would have been much better to prepare it properly. A little storyboard with step by step notes would already suffice, just as in any other presentation. With regard to the software, it would be at least much more convincing.erikals hat geschrieben:I'm sure there's tons, as i only used PhotoLine for a week...

Re: PhotoLine Video Preview
agree, but only used it a week so... (more like 5 hours actually, feature-wise) will probably make a better one later on...

Re: PhotoLine Video Preview
I liked the video. Good starting point for someone who never heard about PhotoLine.
Some nice features of PhotoLine are
- portable mode possible by creating a folder "Usersettings" in the program-folder
- much smaller PLD-files compared with the PSD-format
- if you want to use a curve adjustment layer in other colorspaces like Lab, you don't have to change the hole image, you just change it in the adjustment layer
- some effectfilters a more accurate to use, like lensflare (if you like the look of them) or radial blur - you can click directly in the image
I don't really want to compare PhotoLine with Photoshop. It costs little and does the job very good. PS is maybe better in some points, but not 1000 Euros better.
