Krita as a plugin painting application

Beitrag von Herbert123 »

Just wanted to let people know that Krita works really well with the new external programs filter option. I save the file as a psd, use the external programs option, and paint away in Krita, create new layers, and so on. Then I save the changes, and switch back to Photoline, which automatically loads up the changes!

Very handy.

You can download Krita here: http://www.kogmbh.com/download.html

Krita's masking layers work more or less identical to Photoline, so they make a good combo.

Oh, and I now use Gimp as a "super filter" too - lots of interesting filters out there for Gimp. Sending a transparent layer works best for this.

I must be missing something obvious. I don't find any "external program" filter options?

It's a feature currently in beta test, and will probably be part of the next version of PL. (You can download the beta version from here)).

Cheers
