Three requests

Of course, I have made these all before.

1) When enlarging the tools, the contrast/color tools need to enlarge too. They are tiny. The + and - need to be black.

2) The Rectify filter needs to be able to be reset to zero, i.e. all square. It is a pain trying to get them back to square from whatever the last angles used were. I very, very rarely have a case where the last angles used are needed for the new photo I am looking at. Maybe this tool needs a dialog box where the angles could be saved. Or something.

3) Hmmm -- I've forgotten what this is. You see what I mean about my head?

It gets a bit desperate sometime, but generally things waft back into my head sooner or later or the context brings them up.

I suspect 3) was: Make add transparency a menu item so it can have a keyboard shortcut to turn it on and off.

Regarding the Rectify tool, following out discussion in another thread, the changes I would like to see are:

a) A grid so we can see what is lining up where.

b) Thinner lines so they can be placed with more accuracy.

c) It should be possible to constrain movement.

d) There should be a read out available so we can add a final tweak to the positions of points and angles of lines by entering a number, and we can have a record of the adjustment made (by manually recording the figures).

e) It should work in the main window as the crop tool does (the bigger the image we are adjusting, the better -- it means we can do finer adjustments).

Glad you have given the Rectify tool more thought. I would bet the Hubers will glorify it next ver.

You could use guidelines or the (alignment) grid in the main window so you can see what the _result_ is lining up to.
You might even use a vector / outline layer to mark the desired horizontal / vertical references in the original.

Just zoom in / out in the preview window to get the required accuracy.

Absolutely not. You need to see both he original and the preview. Use the zoom function in the preview window and / or resize the preview window as required.

With the rectify tool you define which (imaginary) lines in the original should be horizontal/vertical in the result - this is not the same as the skewing function of the crop tool. I cannot think of a better way to achive this than with this tool in it's current modus operandi.
