Active Channel icons indistinct in "Black Mode"

I almost filed this as a bug. When "Black Mode" is activated, the Channel icons for various tools need to have more differentiation between "inactive" and "active" states. This screenshot is from the Brush tool:

The same problem exists when other channels are selected....

I'm thinking of something more obvious than tiny, fussy little bits of colour. For example, filling the background with the colour I've specified as my "selection" colour:
