Playing around with placements

Hi,
I've been playing around with an action to make a placement out of every kind of frame in PhotoLine. I recorded some of it and put it on Youtube, like how to make a calendar in about one minute, or make a fancy photo-frame, fully customizable. You make a frame, apply the action and drop an image onto the resulting group-frame. The big advantage is that you can determine the dimensions of the frame beforehand, so you don't have to adjust the imported image.
The movies assume a basic knowledge of PhotoLine.

This is what I really miss as feature in PL

A couple of questions:
1) Looks like you are using some undocumented features of PL - the placement by drag and drop works only if group is called Placement and layer to replace is called Replace (sorry, I've tried this because don't understand how the feature works, looks kind of magic ).
Do you know - is it stable feature which is in a "final state" and will be kept in future versions or this is something still in an experimenting stage? Do we have documentation for that (or exact structure of layers in the group)?
Sorry sorry sorry if this a very old feature!!

2) mmmm… do you have a kind of magic for next feature?
-- resizing of frame resizes only frame (the mask layer) but keep photo unchanged (currently the whole group is resized of course)

1)
I discovered it after trying out the 'Document.pld'-document in the 'Samples'-folder supplied with the downloaded program. There was a frame with the text 'Hier Bild Platzieren'. I haven't found any documentation about it in the handbook, although there are occasional discussions about it in the forum. I made an action so I don't have to remember all the details. I don't know how it works either, but the names of the frames seem to trigger the function. It works very stable for me. I hope it can be built in as a regular function or menu-option in the future. In the latest beta version there is something like it, but only for rectangles.
It would be great if I could use it with the 'Create Picture Catalog'-function in the browser. Like, you name the frames 'Placement1', 'Placement2', etc, and then import the pictures in the browser-window in the appropriate order in the Placement-frames. For making automatic photo-books, catalogs, collages, it would be a killer-feature.

2) If you select a group-frame, press 'Enter' you are in the group-frame. Then you can manipulate the separate frames. One of the main features of groupframes is that what you do with it applies to the whole group, so I don't see it as a problem. Of course you can always ungroup is, do what you want and then regroup it again..

I'm glad you enjoyed my films, even if they were without sound and pretty fast.
